Summary/Objective
The senior Legal Administrative Assistant works directly with attorneys and other legal support staff to serve the needs of the Firm’s clients. This position requires 3+ years prior experience as a litigation legal administrative assistant/paralegal, specialized knowledge of the labor and employment practice area is a plus. Senior litigation legal administrative assistants may have supervisory responsibilities for less experienced case team staff.
The Firm requires that the duties and responsibilities of this position be performed during scheduled business hours within a hybrid schedule.
- Work with attorneys on client projects, including but not limited to: organization and management of case documents in hard copy and digital formats;
- Coordinate conflict checks, opening and closing client files;
- Creation and maintenance of appropriate logs of client lists and materials;
- Generate tables of authorities/contents, prepare exhibits, and file with expert; proficiency and train less experienced legal support staff in same;
- Prepare and supervise the preparation of supporting materials/exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials;
- Edit legal documents or prepare shell pleadings at the direction of and under the supervision of attorneys;
- Coordinate and review production of documents; organize and review documents for production;
- At attorney’s direction, act as a liaison between attorneys and clients by means of written and oral communications;
- Supervise the case-related work product of less experienced legal support staff and train, and mentor them in procedures and practices to best support the practice group;
- Ensures that standards of performance are met and that assignments are effectively completed in a prompt and efficient manner;
- Proficiently manage calendaring of all appointments, deadlines, legal notices/orders, reminders, etc. on attorney calendars;
- Proofreading, exhibit preparation, and performing electronic filings (ECF) and ability to train junior staff to proficiency in same;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat; aptitude for learning new software required;
- Create and maintain active client and prospective client lists;
- Answer phone calls, relay messages, and respond to general emails;
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail;
- Copies, scans, faxes, and prints documents; and
- Other duties as may be assigned by attorneys

- Ability to organize workflow and use time efficiently;

- Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines;

- Reliable and dependable; and
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime on an as needed basis.
- Bachelor’s degree prep; paralegal certificate preferred
- Prior experience in legal practice/litigation support-related field required
- Hybrid – Telework one day per week
