Legal Receptionist

Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, P.A., an AV-rated, 40+ attorney law firm with offices in Greenbelt and Rockville, MD, seeks a highly motivated, and enthusiastic receptionist in its Rockville location.

Job description

Legal Receptionist – Successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to communicate with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, court reporters, vendors, staff, and others. Candidate must also have the ability to operate multi-line telephone systems and office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, copiers and video conferencing equipment.

Strong spelling and grammar skills as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite are required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates with prior law firm experience are a plus but not a necessity.

  • Greeting clients and visitors and answering visitor inquiries
  • Answering and routing incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system
  • Scheduling and routing clients
  • Scheduling conference rooms
  • Maintaining the waiting area, lobby or other public areas
  • Serving coffee or tea to guests
  • Scanning, photocopying, faxing and filing documents
  • Collecting and routing mail and hand-delivered packages
  • Verifying employee identification and issuing visitor passes

  • A high school diploma is required. An associate degree is a plus.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and polished demeanor at all times.
